Q:
How
do I buy textbooks?
A:
You may order textbooks via the Auto Ship Program by visiting
The University
of Akron Bookstore web page. You may also log into your
Zipline
account with your UAnet ID (How
do I get a UAnet ID?). Click "the student"
tab, and you may find the link for the bookstore in the "Quick
Links for Students". On the bookstore web page use the
textbook tab and select the correct term number, department
number, course number, and section number to find the correct
textbooks. The University Bookstore will be able to give book
information and ship the textbooks directly to your home at
a charge of $6.95 for the first item and $1.95 for
each additional item. Please call (330)972-7624 if you have
additional questions about placing your order.
Q:
How
do I get a UAnet ID?
A:
In order to view your class schedule, grades, and important
information, you must have a UAnet ID. If you have not yet
obtained an ID and password, please call 330-972-6888. Identify
yourself as an outreach student so you do not have to come
to campus. Allow two to three weeks for a password to be mailed
to your home address. Access The
University of Akron website and click on the Zipline to
view your schedule of classes, requirements, invoice and grades.
Q:
Do
I need a parking permit?
A:
Usually the outreach students do not need to come to the main
campus. However, a parking permit is required for all courses
held on main campus except for Fridays after 1 p.m. Please
contact Parking
Service directly at 330-972-7213 to obtain a parking permit.
Q:
How
do I complete the registration?
A:
Students will be registered by the Graduate Outreach Office
staff.
Q:
How
do I pay the tuition and fees?
A:
After you are registered, a fee invoice will be mailed. Statements
will include installment payment plan information. If you
are interested in financial aid, please contact The
Office of Financial Aid directly at 330-972-7032. Graduate
students must be taking at least 5 credits hours to receive
aid.
Q:
How
do I use the university libraries resources?
A:
It is very convenient for you to use the libraries' resources
via Internet from off campus. The University of Akron has
four libraries: Bierce Library, Law Library, Science &
Technology Library, and Wayne College Library. You may use
the online catalog to search in all the libraries' collections
and many other resources including OhioLINK. You need a UAnet
ID to access from off campus.
