Applying for Licensure

Students must apply for the Initial Ohio Two-Year Provisional License through the institution from which they completed a teacher licensure program. Application packets will be distributed to students early in the semester in which they student teach, or they may be obtained in Zook Hall Room 207B during the last semester of coursework for the licensure. It will take a minimum of 4-6 weeks for licenses to be processed and mailed to your home.

Ohio, as part of the Interstate Agreement, has contracted with 41 states for reciprocity under certain conditions. You can link to the member states at this ODE website:
