Career Services for Educators: "Teaching a Lifetime of Learning" Center for Career Management The Center for Career Management provides career management services for all graduates and alumni/ae of The University of Akron. Candidates that are interested in opportunities in teaching, educational administration, or higher education administration, and who are interested in learning how to best market their education, skills and abilities, are welcome to seek out services. During the semester in which you do your student teaching, each student teacher is required to attend a one-hour seminar sponsored through the College of Education in which services and activities of the Center for Career Management are explained in detail. Additionally, students will receive job search information to help in finding employment in their field of interest, including registration information and procedures on the Annual Education Expo.
Current students are highly encouraged to contact the Center at least twelve to fifteen months prior to graduation to learn about, and participate in, all of the services and activities offered.
