Attention all Education Majors seeking new licensure! Make sure you have successfully completed all required Praxis II Exams. It is recommended that you take the Praxis II two semesters before program completion. Exams are given only 7 times a year and it will take approximately 4 weeks to receive your scores.
Attention Student Teachers!! Dr. Jaci Wilbanks will be meeting with you early in the semester at your Student Teaching Colloquium to pass out licensure packets and explain the procedures for obtaining your license. Attendance is very important.
Attention students who are not Student Teaching, but who are completing new areas of licensure. Make sure you have a file in the College of Education containing a program plan signed by you and an advisor listing required coursework for that license or endorsement.
Contact the Licensure Coordinator early in your last semester of program enrollment to pick up a packet for licensure.
You should receive your license 4-6 weeks after final grades and/or degrees have been posted. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at: wilbank@uakron.edu
