Important Internship Information for Students 5190:601 - Internship in Higher Education Administration
5190:602 - Internship in Higher Education Administration Seminar The Internship and Internship Seminar offer higher education administration program students an opportunity for practical work experience in a higher education setting.
- The Internship and Internship Seminar must be taken concurrently
- May be taken at any semester during a student's program of study
- May be repeated (up to 6 credits of Internship)
- Student is responsible for securing an Internship site
- Sites may be at a variety of institutions: four-year public, four-year private, community colleges, etc.
- Internships are unpaid
- The expected time committment for a two-credit Internship (during fall or spring semester) is 4-5 hours per week
- The Internship and Internship Seminar are graded on a credit/noncredit basis
- The Internship Seminar may or may not meet every week. Online discussion boards are often utilized to replace in-class time
- Students may enroll themselves for Internship Seminar and Internship
