Nutrition / Dietetics

What is your most valuable source of good nutrition?

It isn't a dietary supplement, one special food, infomercials or the latest diet.

It is a Registered Dietitian (RD) - a credentialed professional who has the education and experience to design a healthy eating plan for you.

If you are interested in the nutritional needs of individuals and want to provide nutrition advice and care, dietetics is the major for you!

Mission of the Didactic Program in Dietetics
The mission of the Didactic Program in Dietetics is to provide a high quality curriculum which prepares graduates for successful completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education accredited supervised practice program. The didactic program provides graduates with the knowledge and tools to develop the skills necessary to become leaders in the field and to translate and apply the science of food and nutrition to health.

Mission of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics
The mission of the Coordinated Program in Dietetics is to prepare graduates for entry-level practice in the field of nutrition and dietetics with attitudes, understandings and skills that will allow them to analyze critically and meet the needs of individuals and/or society. The program provides graduates with the knowledge and tools to develop the skills necessary to become leaders in the field and to translate and apply the science of food and nutrition to health.

Purpose of the Masters of Science Program in Nutrition
