Mini Bio

Assistant Professor David Licate is a doctoral candiate in public policy analysis at Kent State University. He is currently completing a dissertation entitled "Innovations and Organizational Change in Ohio Police Departments." After earning a Masters in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, he pursued a career in corporate security as a district loss prevention trainer and investigations analyst. Prior to joining the faculty of UA's Summit College he taught part-time in UA's Department of Political Science. Teaching and research interests include police organization and innovation, crime analysis and mapping, crime policy and politics, applied criminology, cyber crime, white-collar crime, intelligence analysis, counterterrorism, homeland security, and industrial security.
