The main location of The University of Akron's Summit College is in the Polsky Building. Our Engineering and Science Technology department is located in Schrank Hall North and South. Both buildings are highlighted on the map below

Driving Directions

From the North, Taking I-77 (ie. Cleveland)

Follow the signs for I-77 south into Akron; then follow the signs indicating I-76 east. Take the left fork off I-76 east to Route 8 north. The first exit off Route 8 is Buchtel/Carroll Street Turn left at Carroll or Buchtel to reach campus.

From the North, Taking Route 8 (ie. Cleveland)

Exit at Buchtel Avenue/University of Akron. Turn right onto Buchtel Avenue.

From the South, Taking I-77/Route 8 (ie. Canton)

Follow The University of Akron exit off Route 8 marked Buchtel Avenue/Carroll Street. Turn left onto Carroll or Buchtel to reach campus.

From the West, Taking I-76 (ie. Medina)

Follow I-76 east into Akron. Take the left fork off I-76 east to Route 8 north. The first exit off Route 8 is Buchtel/Carroll. Turn left at Carroll or Buchtel to reach campus.

From the East, Taking I-76 (ie. Youngstown & PA)

Follow I-76 west into Akron. Take the right fork off I-76 west to Route 8 north. The first exit off Route 8 is Buchtel/Carroll. Turn left at Carroll or Buchtel to reach campus.
