The Learning Assistant Program

How can a learning assistant (LA) be beneficial to you?
When you take part in the Learning Assistant program, you have the opportunity to receive additional academic support. Learning assistants help to create a classroom environment conducive to your learning style.
Learning assistants also serve as an advocate between you and the faculty. This can make communication more comfortable between you and your professors. Learning assistants are trained to conduct regular study sessions covering difficult or confusing material. As a student at The University of Akron, you can take advantage of these sessions to master the material.

Here is how you can take advantage of this service.
This is a free service for students enrolled at The University of Akron.
You can find learning assistants in a number of general education courses, key foundation courses, learning communities, and student success seminars.
