Welcome to the e-TOKE program

The e-TOKE program is an interactive web survey that allows college and university students to enter information about their marijuana use patterns and receive feedback about their use of this drug. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with a counselor or administrator. No information that would identify you is required for e-TOKE.

What Does it do?

When you access the e-TOKE, you are prompted to enter information about yourself. In addition to demographic information, it will ask you to enter information about your marijuana use habits, family history, and to complete several surveys.

After all information has been entered, you submit the form. The information you entered is then validated and processed. The e-TOKE program calculates a number of variables and compares your responses to national and local college norms. Then, your personalized feedback is displayed in an easy-to-read format.

The e-TOKE program is brought to you by The Counseling Center. The Center is staffed with full time psychologists who provide confidential counseling to University of Akron students free of charge. If there is anything you would like to discuss with one of the psychologists, call 330-972-7082 to make an appointment. The Center is located in Simmons Hall 306.
The only requirement to use e-TOKE is that you must have a UAnet ID and password to start the program. Your e-TOKE results are confidential and there is no way for anyone but you to see your results. The only reason you are using your UAnet ID and password is so that only University of Akron persons can access the site. Nothing that can identify you is being recorded. You can run e-TOKE from anywhere you have web access. The link below will take you there.

If you are completing e-TOKE as a sanction from Judicial Affairs and will be attending Discussing Our Choices, make sure you print both the four pages of feedback and the summary of your results (a one page document). Press the print button at the very end of the feedback. Bring these to the DOC meeting along with your e-CHUG results.

If you are completing e-TOKE as a class assignment, make sure you print both the four pages of feedback and the summary of your results (a one page document). To print your results press the print button at the very end of the feedback. Bring these to the class presentation. You may be using the results to respond using an anonymous audience response system.
