• The late Margery Hubbs was a champion of higher education and an advocate for young people during her lifetime. Now, her charitable foundation supports eight full academic scholarships, including the students’ living expenses, at The University of Akron. That foundation’s most recent gift brings Mrs. Hubbs’ total giving to the University in excess of $800,000.
• The Maynard Family Foundation gave in support of the Athletics Facilities Enhancement Fund. The Maynard Foundation gift has been instrumental in the new Athletic Field House and football practice facility on campus.
• Mrs. Margaret Chenot made a gift to the endowment for The Margaret Wade Chenot Graduate Scholarship in Audiology, helping increase the competitive edge in recruiting students for graduate studies.
• Mr. Jerry Allen contributed to the Medina County University Center. Mr. Allen is a Medina County native and businessman.
• Mrs. Marie (Karg) Graham '53, widow of former Board of Trustees member Eugene D. Graham '54, has established an endowment to support the Gene Graham Memorial Garden. The Gene Graham Garden is located on the north side of the Student Union and features a lovely terraced brick patio.
• The J. M. Smucker Company has made another gift to the Wayne College Friends Campaign.
