Students may be designated as Intermediate I A or Intermediate I B. The schedule (classes/days/times) is the same for both groups. The groups will be combined for their classes and/or taught separately as determined on an ongoing basis factoring in enrollment and progress. 

Class Attire                                              
Girls: Plain black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet and pointe shoes. Hair secured back and off of face.
Boys: Fitted white shirt, black tights or leggings, thin white socks, white ballet shoes.

Dance Institute's Work Summary

Dance Institute's Work Summary is a presentation of class exercises and/or repertoire that have been prepared throughout the semester and created expressly to represent the vocabulary and training goals of each level. Tickets are required for Work Summary performances held in the Paul A. Daum Theatre in Kolbe Hall on The University of Akron campus and are $5.00 each.  Tickets are not required for Work Summary performances held in The University of Akron Guzzetta Hall’s Albrecht Performance Studio or Recital Hall. Work Summary is typically presented in practice clothes. Simple costume pieces from Dance Institute’s wardrobe may be used to enhance the staging. Dance Institute students attending the performance of a sibling are given a complimentary ticket.

2015 Summer Calendar for Pre-Professional Intensive

Int I Fee for 2014-15 Academic Year: $2,316.00 
(classes scheduled between August 25 - May 9)
Int I Fee Payment Options:

    -- 3 payments of $772.00 due on or before August 30 and November 30, 2014 and March 30, 2015
    -- 9 monthly payments of $257.34 due August 2014-April 2015 on or before the 15th of each month
Int I Snow Maiden Fee: $40.00 (see Snow Maiden information above)
   -- Int I Snow Maiden Fee payment due on or before October 30, 2014
$10.00 Registration Fee for new students
    --To be made with the first payment

Fees are non-refundable.  In case of extended illness or injury, please contact the office.
