It also serves as an opportunity for community outreach that provides awareness of the University community to children in grades K-12 and their families. The celebration has been very well-received and attended, and the children enjoy the excitement and activities of being on a college campus.=0D=0ACommunity and student organizations provide activities and information that encourage non-violence, civic responsibility, respect for differences, and the importance of education.
