Dr. Pew will discuss the history of human factors engineering and his own experience as a second generation student in that field. Pew will outline the work of important historical figures in the field, including Paul Fitts, Arthur Melton, and Alphonse Chapanis.=0D=0ADr. Pew received his BEE in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University in 1956, M.A. in Psychology from Harvard University and Ph.D. in Psychology from The University of Michigan. He has 45 years of experience in human performance and experimental psychology as they relate to systems development.=0D=0AThis event is free and open to the public, and a Q &amp; A with light refreshments will follow in the lobby. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.=0D=0AThis program has been approved for 1 CE Credit. The Center for the History of Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
