Course Requirements for the Department's Minor Options

Minor in Economics

At least 18 credits in the department including:
Credits
3250:200 and 201 Principles of Micro and Macroeconomics* 6
OR
3250:244 Introduction to Economic Analysis 3
AND one of the following:
3250:410 Intermediate Microeconomics 3
3250:400 Intermediate Macroeconomics 3
AND elective economics courses 9-12+

 


 

Minor in Labor Economics

  At least 18 credits in the department, including:
Credits
3250:200 and 201 Principles of Micro and Macroeconomics* 6
OR
3250:244 Introduction to Economic Analysis 3
AND
3250:410 Intermediate Microeconomics 3
AND two of the following:
3250:330 Labor Problems 3
3250:333 Labor Economics 3
3250:430 Labor Market Policy 3
3250:431 Labor and Government 3
3250:432 The Economics and Practice of Collective Bargaining 3
AND elective economics courses 3-6+

NOTE: Introduction to Economics (3250:100) cannot be used to satisfy the 30 credit requirement for an economics major nor the 18 credit requirement for an economics minor.
