Parent Engagement Project begins in December
11/20/2012The Center for Urban and Higher Education (CUHE) has helped to make an impact on Akron Public Schools through a generous grant.
The Parent Engagement Project will run for one night a month for six months, starting in December. Parents of elementary, middle and high school students will learn strategies to:
- Handle conflict and build productive, positive relationships with teachers and school personnel,
- Understand the latest academic standards and create action plans,
- Increase their involvement in school activities, and
- Access and use home and community resources to promote student success.
Many thanks to the CUHE for helping to make a difference in our community!
