Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration
The master's degree program in higher education administration requires 36 credit hours and successful completion of a master's comprehensive exam.
- Completed application to Graduate School (with official transcripts).
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a 2.75 GPA, or 3.00 GPA for the last two years (64 semester credits or equivalent) for Full Admission.
- Minimum GRE combined verbal and quantitative score of 280 and a 3.5 analytical writing score. GRE scores less than 5 years old.
- Declaration of intent that includes a statement of professional goals and reasons for choosing the program of Higher Education Administration at The University of Akron.
Admissions to the Higher Education program cannot be processed until all application materials are completed and provided to the Graduate School. It may take as long as a month for the testing company to send GRE results. Please allow adequate time for your complete official file to be reviewed and processed.
