Dr. Alan Kornspan has conducted and published research related to the behavior and cognition of expert and novice coaches. Specifically, this coaching research has focused on the differences between expert and novice coaches. Additionally, Dr. Kornspan has conducted research related to the motivational reasons that coaches believe youth participate in sport and the history of sport and exercise psychology between 1890 and 1965.
Dr. Kornspan’s coaching research has been published in the Applied Research in Coaching and Athletics Annual, Journal of Teaching in Physical Education, and Perceptual and Motor Skills. Dr. Kornspan is the author of Fundamentals of Sport and Exercise Psychology, recently published by Human Kinetics Publishers. Dr. Kornspan is also a senior peer reviewer for Athletic Insight and has been a recent reviewer for The Sport Psychologist, Perceptual and Motor Skills, and the Journal of Sport Behavior. He is a member of the community outreach committee for the Association for Applied Sport Psychology the chair of the membership and retention subcommittee for the Community outreach committee, and an Associate Editor for the Association for Applied Sport Psychology Newsletter.

Dr. Seungbum Lee’s research interest areas include cultural and social aspects of sport marketing & management and globalization and sport. He has conducted research on sport sponsorship, sport brand management, sport marketing outsourcing, and sport fan behavior. Currently, he is a member of Sport Marketing Association (SMA) and North American Society for the Sociology of Sport (NASSS).
