Alumni and friends of The University of Akron College of Education have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Dr. Conrad C. Ott. The “Conrad C. Ott Scholars” scholarship promotes Dr. Ott’s legacy while supporting an Akron Public Schools teacher (educator) who is following the path in which Dr. Ott wholeheartedly believed. This scholarship is available annually to an Akron Public School teacher pursuing a graduate degree in the College of Education.
Recipients of the 2013 Conrad C. Ott Scholars Scholarship are Hilda Ahmed, Litchfield Middle School/Firestone High School, and Rody Reno, Garfield High School. The scholarships were awarded during a reception formally opening the display area honoring Dr. Ott at the Ott Staff Development Center on May 13, 2013.
