- Welcome from the Director

![]()
Thank you for considering the University of Akron’s Center for Child Development for your child’s age-appropriate education programming. Families wishing to enroll a child in our Center must first complete an application form.
Application forms can be downloaded in the Parent Resources section. The applications are reviewed by a Center Administrator. You will receive a call from the Center inviting you to complete the enrollment process once a vacancy becomes available.
Enrollment is dependent on classroom vacancy, and we must maintain the maximum group size limitations set forth by the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services (ODJFS) and by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards. Furthermore, enrollment is also dependent on the needs of the child and program suitability. The Center for Child Development does not discriminate in the enrollment of children based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin or disability.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Center Administration and Staff
