Mission
The Center for Urban and Higher Education (CUHE) is a public education and research unit within the College of Education. CUHE’s specific mission is to construct and deliver quality professional development services to educational and community leaders that directly and positively impact student learning in urban settings Pre-K through higher education. CUHE’s urban education institutes, professional development workshops and trainings, and research initiatives provide the mechanisms for service delivery. CUHE serves both the community and University by building and sustaining collaborative partnerships among practitioners, faculty, students, and community leaders.
The CUHE can assist your school district or community organization by providing the following professional services:
- Customized professional development programs for school improvement
- Empowering institutes, seminars, and forums
- Corporation of technology
