The Center for Literacy and Saint Joseph Academy in Cleveland, Ohio have partnered to bring you our first Chromebook Camp. This BYOD event will be full of fun and inspiration for educators, administrators and other educational professionals looking to leverage Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and the power of the cloud!
We are planning a full day of sessions at St. Joe's with Google Apps Certified Teachers and Trainers who will facilitate and lead collaboration and sharing focused on how GAFE can be used to strengthen reading and writing in the content areas.
Date, time and registration fee for our 2014 Chromebook Camp have yet be be determined, so check back frequently for more information! Graduate credit for those attending will be available for an additional fee through The University of Akron College of Education Outreach department.
The Center for Literacy's iPad Symposium 2013 was a huge success! We are planning to continue to provide this valuable professional learning opportunity for Ohio educators.
This year, we will again organize an exciting array of workshops and hands-on sessions to help Ohio teachers and administrators identify and share best practices for integrating iPads the preK-12 classroom. Join some of Ohio's leading iPad educators to learn activities and assessment strategies aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers and Students.
The iPad Symposium is an intense one-day series of hands-on workshops designed to inspire and equip educators to facilitate student digital learning projects using iPads. Participants should BYOI (bring your own iPad) to the symposium. The iPad Symposium is led and facilitated by the Center for Literacy in conjunction with the most talented educators & administrators in Ohio! Many of our presenters are Apple Distinguished Educators.
