President's Corner

Welcome! My name is Carolyn Serri and I am the 2010-2011 President of the Society for the Advancement of Marriage and Family Therapists (SAMFC/T)! My fellow board members and I have been working hard to help make this a wonderful year where knowledge is contagious and maybe we’ll get to have some fun too!

We have a lot of ideas for the upcoming year but we need your help! We need members to serve on committees to make these events happen and to get the word out about what we do! For those who are further along in the program, (think Practicum & Internship) we could use your help as mentors to our students who are just beginning.

We will be holding meetings throughout the semester, so please come in get involved! Meeting times and places will be posted on our Facebook page and will be sent to you by e-mail through the MFT listserv as well as flyer posted on campus. If you have any questions, comments or would like to serve on a committee and/or be a mentor/mentee, you can contact me at
