NBPTS Fast Facts
The UA NBPTS Support Cohort began providing support services to candidates during 1997-1998. With monies made available by the Ohio Department of Education, we continue to provide comprehensive support services to our candidates, although we do operate yearly based on grant applications.
- With a total of 97,291 National Board Certified Teachers in the country to date, 3,299 of these teachers are from Ohio, ranking Ohio seventh in the nation with regard to total number of NBCTs.
- Since our program’s inception, we have helped 257 candidates to become National Board Certified Teachers.
