New Position

The Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department at The University of Akron is seeking to fill an assistant professor rank tenure track position (August 2012 or position is filled). The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. or have completed all of the degree requirements for PhD by date of hire in Chemical Engineering or an allied discipline. It is preferred that the candidate has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and research area of expertise in reaction engineering, catalysis, and their application in advanced energy, materials, or bioengineering. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising masters and doctoral students, conducting a vigorous self-reliant research program, writing scholarly publications, participating in faculty governance, conducting instructional support, and conducting professional service.
