Marian Smith Short Story Prize

This prize honors the memory of Marian H. Smith, the beloved aunt of a University of Akron faculty member who loved to tell good stories and did.

Who can enter:

The prize is open to any University of Akron graduate and any student enrolled in the Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing as part of the Northeast Ohio University Consortium.

Submission Guidelines:

• Submit one short story of any subject matter, up to 25 pages.
• Submit your best work
• Include a cover sheet with "Marion H. Smith Prize 2013" typed at the top, the title of the story, the writer's name, level (grad or undergrad), postal address, email, and phone number.
• No manuscripts will be returned.
