Family Weekend 2009

We've got a GREAT Family Weekend planned for you!  Check out the Events below and be sure to get your Off-Campus Dinning coupons here.  Some of the events will require pre-registration and payment with the order form link - but most are FREE!.    We look forward to having your family join ours for a fun weekend at The University of Akron.

Some area hotels are offering special rates for this event - get more information on hotels here.

It is not necessary to register for FREE Events. As a friendly reminder, all FREE Events are on a first come first serve basis.

November 6th:

• Family Weekend Open Game Room - 5pm to midnight - Student Union - Free Event
• Movie: Up - 7pm - Student Union Theater - Free Event
• Coffee House Performer Sean Benjamin - 7:30pm - Student Union Starbucks - Free Event
• Magician Jay Mattioli - 9pm - Student Union Grand Ballroom  - Free Event

November 7th:

• Akron Art Museum - 11am to 5 pm - Pre-registration and Payment Event
• Family Weekend Tailgate - noon to 3pm - Infocision Stadium - Pre-registration and Payment Event- (All persons/students attending the Family Weekend Tailgate must purchase a ticket)
• Zips vs Kent State Football Game - 3:30pm kickoff - Infocision Stadium - Pre-registration and Payment Event All students are permitted free of charge with their student ID. All Student tickets are general admission and will allow for families to sit together.
• Docs Who Rock - 7pm - EJ Thomas Hall - Pre-registration and Payment Event
• Zips vs Hartwick Men's Soccer - 7:30pm - FREE Admission with purchase of Football ticket. Pre-registration and Payment Event All students are permitted free of charge with their student ID. All Student tickets are general admission and will allow for families to sit together.
• Movie: Up - 9pm - Student Union Theater - Free Event

November 8th:

• Akron Art Museum - 11am to 5 pm - Pre-registration and Payment Event
• Movie: Up - noon - Student Union Theater - Free Event
• UA Bandorama 2009 - 3pm - EJ Thomas Hall - Free Event

The deadline to register for all Pre-registration and Payment Event was Sunday, November 1, 2009 - exceptions will not be made after this date.

Note: An email will be sent out to the email address used to register on Monday, November 2, 2009 in regards to where and when Pre-registration and Payment Event tickets can be picked up on campus during Family Weekend.
