Tools for Applying Online

FAFSA On the Web

You will use this site to electronically enter the information for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Generally, using FAFSA on the Web can reduce processing time to only 2-3 weeks! Remember that if you (and your parent if you are a dependent student) do not have a PIN number (see above), you may still use this service by printing up a signature page, signing it and mailing it to the federal processor per the directions given through the site.

FAFSA PIN Registration

The PIN is the Personal Identity Number that is given to you by the US Department of Education for the electronic signature on the FAFSA, and any corrections you might make electronically to the FAFSA. Ideally each student should obtain and keep track of a PIN. At least one parent of a dependent student should obtain a PIN as well so that they may also electronically sign the FAFSA.
