The David Scholar Program (Residents of Stark County, OH)

The David Scholar Program was established in 1980 by Paul David of Massillon, Ohio and his family. The purpose of the Program is to aid and assist qualified graduating high school students who, due to financial constraints, would find it difficult, if not impossible, to further their education at an accredited school.

Through the Looking Glass

In recognition of the more than nine million parents with disabilities in the U.S. and their families, Through the Looking Glass (TLG), non-profit organization, is pleased to announce the 2006 College Scholarship Fund specifically for high school seniors who have parents with disabilities. Scholarships funds are available to students who:

* Demonstrate academic and personal achievement;
* Have grown up with at least one parent with a disability;
* Will be a high school graduate or graduating senior by Summer 2006; and
* Will be attending a college or university program in the U.S.

Up to ten separate $1,000 awards will be given out in Summer 2006.
These awards are one of several projects of Through the Looking Glass' National Resource Center for Parents with Disabilities.
This National Center is funded by the National Institute on Disability Research and Rehabilitation (NIDRR), U.S. Department of Education.


Sales & Marketing Exectuives--Cleveland

The Sales and Marketing Executives of Cleveland Education Foundation provides scholarship support for qualified students in the Greater Cleveland area.

Up to $5,000 in scholarships are available. The application deadline is May 1st.

Scholarship Qualifications:
* You must be a Greater Cleveland area resident (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties) and a full-time student enrolled in a marketing or a sales discipline at an Ohio college or university.
* You must have a current minimum accumulative 3.0 grade point average.
* You must be enrolled in the final semester of your sophomore year or be in your junior year when you submit this application.
* You must apply the scholarship towards tuition costs.
* You must obtain the following and submit them with your application: an up-to-date transcript of your grades; two faculty and/or professional letters of recommendation; a 500 word essay about your career goals.
