FAFSA On the Web -- You will use this site to electronically enter the information for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Generally, using FAFSA on the Web can reduce processing time to only 2-3 weeks! Remember that if you (and your parent if you are a dependent student) do not have a PIN number (see above), you may still use this service by printing up a signature page, signing it and mailing it to the federal processor per the directions given through the site.

University of Akron Office of Undergraduate Admissions -- If you haven't applied for admission to The University of Akron, this link will allow you to fill out an on-line application for undergraduate admission.
NOTE: You do not have to wait to be admitted to UA to apply for aid. if you are not currently admitted, you should save time and complete both processes simultaneously, with the understanding that you will not actually receive aid until you ARE admitted to the University of Akron.

Selective Service System -- This service allows you to look up a man's Selective Service number, as well as the date he registered. Only registrations of men born on or after Janurary 1, 1960, can be verified through this system. Students may also register with selective service through this web site.
NOTE: A print out of your selective service number and date of registration from this site is an acceptable substitute for a photocopy of the selective service card in completion of verification Form 10.
(Note: Women are not currently required to register with the Selective Service System).
