Contact their financial aid office for assistance in this process. If you are obtaining a degree from The University of Akron and wish to attend another institution as a guest, The University of Akron will disburse your financial aid to the extent that you are eligible.Prior to disbursement, you must provide the Office of Student Financial Aid the following:
All documents should be submitted PRIOR to the guest enrollment term.
Completion of all of these steps does not assure the payment of your fees!!!
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR FEES AT THE GUEST INSTITUTION ARE PAID! Other Important Information IF YOU HAVE A STUDENT LOAN YOU MUST REQUEST ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION FROM THE INSTITUTION YOU WILL BE ATTENDING.
Unless you are attending The University of Akron concurrently with your guest enrollment, Campus Based Aid will not be available during the semester you are enrolled at the other institution. If you are enrolled at both schools, the Office of Student Financial Aid will review your situation to determine what, if any, Campus Based Aid you'll be eligible for during the guest student term.
REMEMBER
You must have copies of your grade transcripts from the visited institution submitted to BOTH the Office of the Registrar AND the Office of Student Financial Aid so that you:
1. Maintain eligibility for future financial aid.
2. Receive the appropriate academic credit for your work at the visited institution. |
