Akron Advantage Blue Award
$6000 Scholarship award applied toward out-of-state tuition charges.
(per academic year).
Full-time, First-time Freshmen students from one of the 49 states outside of Ohio and all U.S. territories must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
• 3.0 high school GPA (based on 6th semester transcript)
• 1000 SAT combined (critical reading and math score)
• 21 ACT
• Direct admission to a degree granting college
• Dependent of a UA alumnus/alumna
Akron Advantage Gold Award
$10,000 scholarship award applied towards out-of-state tuition charges (per academic year).
Full-time, First-time Freshmen students from one of the 49 states outside of Ohio and all U.S. territories must meet both of the following eligibility criteria:
• High school GPA of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (based on 6th semester transcript)
• ACT composite test score of at least a 27 or SAT combined test score of at least 1200 (critical reading and math scores)
In addition to the above eligibility criteria for the Blue and Gold Awards, students must meet the following to remain eligible to receive the awards:
• Out-of-state residency status (as stated above, a student from one of the 49 states outside of Ohio and all U.S. territories)
• Full-time status (at least 12 credit hours per semester - Fall and Spring)
• Remain in good academic standing

We look forward to working with you at our new location!!! OUR HOURS To serve you better, we remain open Monday Thursday and Friday until 5 p.m., and have extended our evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday Evening until 7 p.m. These hours are in effect during the regular academic year.

Parents should also apply for a PIN. Only one parent needs to have a PIN in a household, and that PIN will be useable as their electronic signature, not only on their student(s') FAFSA, but on their own as well, should they wish to attend courses and file for aid.
A PIN serves as your electronic signature on:
- FAFSA on the Web,
- Renewal FAFSA on the Web, and
- Master Promissory Note
- View the status and results of a processed FAFSA
- The PIN is your personal identifier allowing you to access personal information through the systems created by the U.S. Department of Education
- Request a duplicate Student Aid Report (SAR)
