A regularly enrolled undergraduate student at The University of Akron may be granted permission to take one or more graduate courses if the following conditions are met:
The Undergraduate to take Graduate Courses form must be completed and have all appropriate department approvals. Additionally, it should be clearly indicated on the form how the course is to be used (to meet baccalaureate degree requirements or not needed to meet baccalaureate degree requirements). Graduate courses may later be applied to a degree program if not used to meet baccalaureate degree requirements. The maximum number of graduate credits that may be taken by an undergraduate and later applied to a graduate degree is 12.
You will be notified via e-mail once permission has been granted by the Graduate School for your enrollment in the specified graduate course. Included in this e-mail will be information regarding course registration.
