GradFest is a celebration for the graduates, their families and friends at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall. It features music, refreshments and photo ops with Zippy, UA's loveable mascot.

Meet Kristina Kehoe and Mark Hedegore, two of the talented students that have made the most of their years at The University of Akron through hard work in the classroom as well as experiential learning opportunities.

The University of Akron celebrates the achievements of its newest graduates at commencement ceremonies in May, August and December at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, 198 Hill St. President Luis M. Proenza delivers the address at each ceremony.
This spring, The University of Akron conferred more than 2,700 undergraduate and graduate degrees to its largest class of graduates this century, with 40 doctoral degrees; 651 master's degrees; 1,626 bachelor's degrees; and 343 associate degrees.
The total also includes 128 Juris Doctor degrees, which will be awarded at the School of Law Commencement on Sunday, May 13, at 2 p.m. in Thomas Hall.
Graduating veterans wear red, white and blue honor cords with their academic regalia as UA recognizes their service to our country.
