GradFest is a celebration for the graduates, their families and friends at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall. It features music, refreshments and photo ops with Zippy, UA's loveable mascot.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Meet Prang Pantusart and Michael Martin, two of the many talented students who have made the most of their years at The University of Akron through hard work in the classroom as well as experiential learning opportunities.

They were among the students who were chosen to speak on behalf of the Spring Class of 2013 at commencement ceremonies held May 10-12 as student responders. You can read their stories at: Prang Pantusart and Michael Martin.

The University of Akron celebrates the achievements of its newest graduates at commencement ceremonies in May, August and December at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, 198 Hill St. President Luis M. Proenza delivers the address at each ceremony.
Graduating veterans wear red, white and blue honor cords with their academic regalia as UA recognizes their service to our country.
On Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m., the School of Law will host its commencement for the 2012-2013 Class at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, with Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor as the keynote speaker. The School of Law will confer upon its December and May graduates a total of 165 Juris Doctor and 11 Master of Law degrees.
