An image of the track used for competition

A description of how the competition works

Andy and Kyle analyze any data that comes in from our on-board velocity sensor to see what can be adjusted on the car.

Andy, James, and Kyle divide analysis tasks before competition.

Team members look at the data from the first run and try to decide what alterations to the car need to be made for the second run.

Marcus (far right) discusses setup progress with the team.

Chris (right) carefully pours chemical into a graduated cylinder as part of the stopping mechanism setup.

The distance was announced at 2 pm.

Paul, Mike, and Brad work on placing chemical containers on the car.

Paul makes some finishing touches to the car.

Mike works on cleaning out a beaker with deionized water.

Hydrogen peroxide is injected into the luminol container to move the car. Once the reaction stops, so does the car.

For the first run, the car stopped 7 feet past the goal line.

Run 2

On the second run, the car stopped 5.5 inches from the line.
