Welcome! Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at The University of Akron is a vibrant, welcoming community of Catholic students who support each other in the college journey.
We strive to be faithful to all of the teachings of the Church as well as be a welcoming community to interested students of other faiths. Through spiritual, educational, social, and service activities, we grow in our faith and our relationships which each other which are so crucial at this time in our lives. This week celebrate the coming of the birth of Christ! Newman is having our annual Christmas Party filled with exciting holiday games and delicious delicacies : ) Come join in the "Christ"mas spirit!
Would you like to walk over together to the Newman Center with others from on campus?
“Newman Catholic Campus Ministry” has a group each week that walks together over to the Newman Center . The meeting place will be in the North Quad by the smoke stacks (in front of Rob’s & behind the Honor’s complex) @ 6:15pm on Wednesday’s. 
The mission of Newman Catholic Campus Ministry is to gather Catholic students attending non-Catholic colleges and universities in the Diocese of Cleveland in order to strengthen their faith and Catholic identity through:
- Participation in a worshipping community of faith
- Increased understanding of Catholic teaching & tradition
- Education, action and reflection on peace and justice issues
- Leadership development
- Opportunities for personal development and conscience formation
- Making connections between faith and life
