SAGE Mission Statement

The Student Association for Graduates in Education (S.A.G.E.) is an organization for graduate students in the many diverse areas of higher education. Thus, membership includes students from The University of Akron’s College of Education department of Educational Foundations and Leadership. Our goal is primarily to foster a strong sense of community within the Higher Education Administration program. Our organization also attempts to create opportunities that will promote leadership, networking, and career development.

We are a professional organization assisting in the facilitation of open communication among all graduate students, faculty, and staff in the Higher Education Administration program. S.A.G.E. also encourages professional development and offers support to graduate students of the Higher Education Administration program to attend national, state, and regional meetings, conferences, and workshops.
