Mission:
on campus through the development of a national network of involved
Jewish students.
Goals:
ideas, identify and discuss current issues and concerns, and work in
conjunction with Hillel professionals to create vibrant campus Jewish
communities.
* To encourage and enable students from across the country to play a
meaningful role in developing and planning national student programs
and initiatives.
* To encourage innovative and creative campus-based programming.
* To involve students in all aspects of the Hillel movement.
* To provide information, training, and other forms of assistance which
will empower students to build dynamic Jewish communities on their
campuses.
The purpose of this organization is to provide fellowship for Jewish students
of The University of Akron and to promote and further the pride and
understanding of the Jewish heritage. This organization will benefit both
the Jewish and the non-Jewish students, faculty and staff interested in
Judaism, by fostering interaction between the two groups. Hillel Jewish
Students Union will operate independently and in conjuction with other
programs and organizations to present educational programs along with
other programming.
