Site Visit: March 3-6, 2013
The University of Akron is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The University was last accredited in 2003, and is currently preparing a self-study to examine performance based on five core components:
- Mission
- Ethical and Responsible Conduct
- Teaching and Learning - Quality, Resources, and Support
- Teaching and Learning - Evaluation and Improvement
- Resources, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness
