Human Resources to Introduce New Workplace Violence Policy and Procedures

Human Resources will be introducing the newly implemented HR Workplace Violence: Policy and Procedures.  This informational session will cover the details of the new policy as well as resources available to employees to deal with workplace violence and threats of workplace violence.  A short presentation will be given on the student CARE team as well.  Faculty and staff employees are encouraged to attend.

UA's Newly Implemented New Hire Process: Completing Forms and Understanding Procedures

This 2.5 hour workshops is designed for individuals responsible for the administrative aspects of UA's hire process.  Emphasis is placed on how to complete hire process forms and other required paperwork and discusses the approval/routing process.  Topics also cover understanding the hire process overall and include tips for best supporting the multi-faceted needs of search committees and hiring officials.

Informational Session on Criminal Background Checks

This seminar is recommended for any individual involved in the hiring of faculty, contract professionals, and staff employees.  Topics covered will include the protocol and means in which criminal background checks will be performed and the process to be followed by hiring departments after a final candidate has been identified.

HR and Office of the Provost to Hold Bullying and Incivility Seminar

Human Resources’ Employee Relations and the Office of the Provost will be offering a one hour seminar on Bullying and Incivility: Recognition and Response on April 28th, from 2:00pm-3:00pm in the Student Union, RM 312.  Senior VP and Provost, Dr. David Baker and Dr. Becky Hoover will discuss workplace implications for faculty, staff, and administrators, including: What is Bullying? What is Incivility? How prevalent is it? What does a profile of a bully and a victim look like? and what to do about it?
