Biography

I received my Bachelor and Masters degree majoring in Botany from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. As a requirement to fulfill the course work during the Master's program, I had an opportunity to specialise in Plant Pathology. And my research project was " Ecophysiology of Mimosa pudica."

After coming to US, I got chance to volunteer in Ornamental Plant Germplasm centre, OSU where I learnt some of the plant tissue culture techniques.

Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, I chose IB and it's different and more applied than any other traditional program as it opens door to various research. Basically a botanist, now I am trying to work in little different area. Though, it takes time to find out the exact nature of my future research project, I will be working in " Prevention of surgical adhesion" and I am excited about it. I will be working in Dr Bi-min Newby's lab.
