Interested in encouraging thoughtful discussions about race and other difficult topics in your classroom? Then please join us for this lunchtime session with Dr. Amanda Kemp.Dr. Kemp is a writer, actress, activist, and scholar who blends theatre, history, and spirituality in her advocacy of racial justice. She earned her Ph.D. in Performance Studies from Northwestern University and has taught at colleges and universities since 1998. She is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of American and Africana Studies at Franklin Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.

Dr. Kemp also has written and performs in many plays, including Sister Friend: Phillis Wheatley and Obour Tanner on Freedom, Love, and the Divine, which will be performed Thursday, Feb. 5th at 7:30 in the Daum Theatre in Kolbe Hall.
