UA Press publishes first title in new series

"The Monkey & the Wrench: Essays into Contemporary Poetics" is the inaugural title in The University of Akron Press-published "Akron Series in Contemporary Poetics."

Books in the series will cover trends and innovations in contemporary poetry from the U.S. and around the world. The series is edited by Mary Biddinger, UA associate professor of English, and John Gallaher, co-editor of the "Laurel Review."

"The Monkey & the Wrench" takes a snapshot of the ever-shifting conversation about today's poetry. The 10 essays in the collection offer practical advice and provocative points of departure for those who read and write poetry.
