Sponsored by the Confucius Institute, the trip is scheduled for June 8 to July 1 and is open to up to 20 eligible students, or anyone in the UA community who has completed at least one semester of Chinese or the three-week intense Chinese language course the institute will offer in May.
Full funding will be provided for:

  • Chinese language classes at Henan University. Students will receive three to four hours of language instruction daily
  •  Lodging accommodations
  • Meals
  • Tours to Kaifeng, the Yellow River, Xi’an, Shaolin Temple, Bejing and the Great Wall

Participants will be responsible for the costs of their round-trip airfare, passport and visa. One credit hour may be earned.
