The 11th annual Hospitality Scholarship Golf Tournament to support the Donald L. Patterson Hospitality Scholarship will be held Friday, May 9, at J.E. Good Park Golf Course, 530 Nome Ave., Akron, beginning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

The tournament is hosted by the Akron/Summit Convention and Visitors Bureau. Proceeds help fund scholarships for students in The University of Akron Summit College Hospitality Management program.

The registration price of $60 per person includes lunch, refreshments, 18 holes of golf and golf cart use. The reservation deadline is Friday, April 25.

"Each semester we award two $500 scholarships, which are made possible through this golf tournament," says Jamal Feerasta, professor of hospitality management. “Community support is important to keep the event going and to provide students scholarships for career success.”
