Bio: JB is a Sr. Application Systems Analyst with CBA&E. He joined the University of Akron Information Technology Services division in January of 1991. His primary responsibilities include managing system applications development, supervising technical operations, providing technical support for the office unit, and resolving system problems. JB has served as adjunct faculty in the University of Akron Summit College. He has authored an article "Computer Based Testing on Campus", Journal: Syllabus New Directions in Education Technology Volume 12, No. 8 April 1999.
JB holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics with a minor in Computer science from the University of Akron.
Betty Blevins

Bio: Betty joined Information Technology Services in 1987, working in the department of Operations Systems Services under the unit of Enterprise Operations. Under this unit Betty provided scanning services for test scoring, faculty evaluation, and surveys. She also maintained tapes as the Tape Librarian under the “Legacy” application. With the retirement of legacy systems Betty was transferred to CBA&E. Here Betty continues to provide scanning services and will be providing services in deployment of online tests, surveys and assessments.

Bio: Kathy currently serves as manager of CBA&E where she provides technical solutions and support for assessment, evaluation & testing. Kathy joined The University of Akron in October, 1984 working as an Academic Computing Programmer, Analyst and Consultant. During her tenure at the University she has always worked directly with UA students, faculty, staff, the administration and constituencies; providing hands-on computer support. She has also served as adjunct faculty on the Akron and Wayne campuses.
Kathy holds a BS in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from The University of Akron.
Christopher Harrigan

Bio: Christopher joined The University of Akron in July 2005 as a Sr. Applications Systems Analyst in CBA&E. Christopher’s primary responsibilities include administration of CBA&E Assessment Management Systems, coordination of Distance Learning/Online Testing programs, assisting faculty/staff with the design and development of assessments, providing technical support for CBA&E/Distance Learning Testing Centers, and facilitating the research, development, and implementation of new Assessment/Testing Center technologies. Prior to joining The University of Akron, Christopher worked as an Advanced Systems Analyst with the Maytag/Hoover Corporation where he helped direct, design and implement Supply Chain Planning systems.
Christopher earned his BS in Computer Science degree with minors in Accounting and Mathematics from The University of Dayton, and his E-Business Certificate in 2001 from The University of Akron. He continues his education in Web Design and Development with Stark State College of Technology in North Canton.
Cathy Kodish

Bio: Cathy joined CBA&E in 2003. She currently serves as the Testing Lab Supervisor, responsible for staffing the computer lab, maintaining a secure and comfortable testing environment within the lab, supervising the testing lab calendar/schedule and billing/invoicing. Cathy also works with faculty in setting up their tests, New Student Orientation, and secondary school Compass placement tests.

Bio: Jim has been with the University of Akron since 1979, working entirely for the Information Technology Services division. Beginning his career as a student assistant in the Academic department, Jim developed an interest in computing, eventually changing his major and subsequently, earning a BS in Computer Science from The University of Akron. Jim’s primary responsibility is the faculty evaluation system utilized by several departments which generates statistical reports from data collected by scanned sheets or from online evaluations.
