Elluminate

Elluminate Live!® is a world-class, real-time training, demonstration and collaboration environment that is powerful, flexible, and easy to use. Elluminate’s collaboration environment enables the delivery of live, online learning, training, coaching, mentoring, and meeting. Effectiveness is increased by engaging participants with the ability to talk over the Internet (with full, 2-way audio), exchange text messages, display live video, share whiteboards, multimedia files, and applications—all in one intuitive, graphical interface.

Getting Started

First, we recommend that you decide how often you would like to hold Elluminate meetings. Will you use Elluminate every day, weekly, monthly, or only for special events?

• If you would like to hold Elluminate meetings on a regular basis, we can schedule an Elluminate meeting for the duration of the semester. You will use one link to join the meeting, and the meeting will be open at all hours of the day. We recommend this approach for most classroom needs.
• If you only want to use meetings for special events, such as a guest speaker or monthly group meetings, we can schedule meetings for a specific time period. Please note: The link for each individual meeting changes so you will need to be sure to use the correct link for each session.

How to Request an Elluminate Meeting

All faculty and staff may request an Elluminate meeting. Students can participate in meetings without an account. Instructional Services will establish your Elluminate meeting within one business day after we receive the request. You will receive an email notification with your meeting link when your meeting is ready to use.

• Request an Elluminate Meeting

After you receive verification that your meeting has been created, you may use the moderator link to access your meeting up to 30 minutes before it begins. This will give you a chance to collect your thoughts, upload any necessary files, and perform the Audio Setup Wizard.

How to Present Elluminate to Your Students

When you create an Elluminate meeting, students do not require a user name or password. We highly recommend that you post the guest link for your Elluminate meeting in your Springboard! course site. Normally, we will schedule your meeting to be open for the entire semester. This will allow you to use the same meeting for multiple sections of the same course. How to Obtain Elluminate Training

Elluminate provides all training for this product free to all University of Akron faculty, staff and students.
