The transition from WebCT to Springboard! occurred in January 2008. Therefore Spring 2008 (4081) is the first semester for which we have data on utilization.
Each semester a course site is created for every course listed in the Course Catalog. Given the many changes made during the start of the Spring and Fall semester we do not take a snapshot of active courses until week four.
We receive a list of courses with enrollment from Institutional Research (IR) as of week four. From this list we filter out all courses that typically do not require a course site such as doctoral research, masters research, recitals, rehearsal, projects, and independent studies to determine the percentage of all courses with an active Springboard! course site.
This information is presented in table form – by college and by semester – for the 2008 calendar year. In every college there has been incremental growth in the number of courses and number of students utilizing the Springboard! learning environment.
