Mathematical Reasoning Scoring Rubric

 This scoring rubric was applied to assess each student’s performance on five specifically designed exam questions:

Numeric Score Expected Student Responses
0 No conceptual understanding
1 Grasps basic concepts but limited mathematical aptitude
2 Good conceptual understanding but struggles with mathematics
3 Complete conceptual understanding but inconsequential mathematical errors
4 Complete conceptual understanding with no mathematical errors

The same faculty members were assigned a specific question to be scored based on the rubric.
