Biography
Bill Droddy is a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Trainer. He is the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine, Head Football Athletic Trainer, and Assistant Lecturer at The University of Akron. Mr. Droddy has received a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training for Sports Medicine, Masters degree in Sports Medicine, and is currently working on a Masters degree in Post-Secondary Education. He is involved in numerous professional organizations including the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, College Athletic Trainers’ Society, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mr. Droddy has many professional presentations, the most recent ones including the following: Management of the Spine Injured Athlete Update-University of Akron Sports Medicine (2012), Initial Sports Concussion Evaluation for Emergency Services Personnel-Akron Fire Department Run Review (2012), Management of the Spine Injured Football Player for Emergency Services Personnel-Akron Fire Department Run Review (2011), and the Management of Multiple Concussions in a Collegiate Football Player-Mid-American Conference Sports Medicine Associations Annual Symposium.
